My passion for cooking began as a child spending time in the kitchen with my parents and grandmother. While other children were watching Sesame Street, I was watching the greats Julia Child and Graham Kerr.
After a lifetime of cooking, baking, and catering for events, friends, and family; Monica decided to pursue her passion and enrolled at Johnson and Wales In June 1994. After graduating at the top of her class she started her professional training in Vail, Colorado. Under the tutelage of some of Colorado’s finest chefs Monica honed her skills and practiced her craft. Monica moved East to Charleston in 2004 and joined the Kiawah Island Club in 2005 and worked there till 2007 when she was recruited to join Halls Chop House in downtown Charleston as Sous Chef helping to make Halls one of Charleston’s finest restaurants. In March of 2011 Monica was asked to join J Paulz as their executive chef.
I pour my heart and soul out every day to prepare and create meals for my clients with all the love and attention I give the meals I prepare for my own friends and family.
